Warehouse Supervisor (Sacramento, CA)

Reports To: Production Manager

Department: Operations

Scope:

Manage all aspects of the Sacramento warehouse operations, to include shipping, receiving, cycle counting, stock rotation, ensuring inventory accuracy; while providing supervision, direction, and development of a warehouse associate.

Purpose:

Perform inventory receipt tasks, and shipping & receiving duties to ensure customer satisfaction and inventory accuracy throughout the order fulfillment process. Support maintenance by ensuring facilities and equipment are kept in good condition to minimize impact on operations.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

  1. Execute daily warehouse operations to ensure continuous workflow and on time shipment.
    Expectations:  Prioritize work within timelines and schedule tasks to meet daily workflow procedures.
  2. Enter purchase order receipts into operating system. Address purchase order receiving discrepancies / issues with Buyer to bring to resolution.
    Expectations:  Enter purchase order receipt in the operating system within 2 hours of receipt of material or notification by a warehouse.  Address all discrepancies / issues with the Buyer directly at the time of occurrence.  Assist in inventory discrepancy resolution.
  3. Unload and/or unpack incoming shipments, inspect and verify product receipts against packing lists, reject damaged items and record shortages; operates forklift in accordance with corporate safety plan.
    Expectations:  Unload incoming shipments by appointment time or upon arrival, perform inspection and verification to ensure 100% quality and accuracy of receipt.  Operate forklift in a safe manner.
  4. Read and interpret work order for order needs and shipping requirements. Identify products by description and number, pull stock from inventory, and prepare packaging and labels for shipment.  Prepare bills of lading, packing slips, and other shipping documents using carrier shipping technologies where available. If repackaging is required, repackage product as needed to meet demand.
    Expectations:  Carefully reads and comprehends information printed on the work order, verifies product and container information, pulls correct stock from inventory, prepares packaging and appropriate labels and other documents as appropriate for shipment to ensure 100% accuracy.
  5. Maintain clean and safe warehouse. Monitor process to insure rotation of inventory.  Establish and maintain warehouse inventory locations and organize stock as appropriate.
    Expectations: Monitors inventory to insure proper rotation of product; participates in product disposal initiatives as appropriate.  Maintains clearly identified inventory locations for ease of locating inventory.
  6. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
    Expectation:  Identifies the need for materials and supplies and requisitions or orders supplies as necessary.

  8. Perform various other warehouse/shipping/receiving/maintenance duties as needed.
