Finance Manager, Sales + Analytics

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

  • Primary business partner for the VP of Sales
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting processes for overall sales force including bonus planning
  • Ensure accurate commission reserves
  • Provide analytic support and leadership to the sales team through the use of reporting, IT tools
  • Develop leading indicator metrics including regional and business unit dashboards
  • Produce / distribute reporting on the drivers of sales performance (price, cost, mix)
  • Facilitate the integration of sales force metrics with acquisitions as needed
  • Provide cross functional leadership, coordination to drive initiatives with VP of Sales
  • Join sales team on occasional customer visits as needed
  • Work in conjunction with CFO and Corporate Controller to develop overall financial reporting
  • Salesforce.com administrative duties (see below)
    • Implementing Salesforce configuration by creating customs objects, fields, page layouts, simple automation, field validations, security reports and dashboards
    • Creating Salesforce solution documentation including personas, business process flows, architectural diagrams and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts
    • Translating business requirements into Salesforce data models and roles using entity relationships diagrams (ERDS)
    • Utilizing specialty product (CPQ, FSL, Pardot, etc.) knowledge to advise customers and design and build systems

Required Abilities:

  • Superior organizational skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects is essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to deliver your message to varied audiences
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • High comfort level with a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to adapt to changes in processes or company culture
  • Ability to learn new computer applications quickly
  • Command of data manipulation principles and tools
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA a plus
  • 6-8 years of analytical experience
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Experience with a relational database management systems desired
  • Experience with at least one middleware platform, such as Dell Boomi, Scribe, or Mulesoft desired
  • 2+ years of Salesforce experience or equivalent Consulting experience desired
