Buyer – Parts & Equipment (Winder, GA)

Location: Winder, GA


The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing equipment, goods and service and establishing long term successful vendor relationships, minimizing costs while maximizing quality and delivery times.  Use metrics and analytics to determine areas of weakness and strengths in purchasing and related processes, make recommendations for improvements and follow through on implementation.


  • Interaction with vendors, and sales representatives to provide information in response to inquiries about Adhezion’s products and services.
  • Make buying and stocking decisions, obtaining the best combination of price, quality, delivery, and vendor services.
  • Professionally and successfully negotiate cost with vendors.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders for replenishment of parts and equipment.
  • Research archives to identify customers’ parts needs.
  • Update and verify information in the company database on a consistent basis with pertinent information.
  • Manage high volume of frequently recurring transactions in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
  • Data entry into MRP/ERP system with a high level of detail.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


  • Education – Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, not required, but preferred.
  • Problem-Solving/Trouble Shooting – Well organized, process and data driven, logical thought-process, the ability to make decisions and act on them.
  • Communication – Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interpersonal – Ability to build and manage relationships and demonstrate resilience and ability to handle difficult situations with a positive “can do” attitude. Also, have a proven experience & ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Technology – Strong computer skills with ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently, proficient keyboard abilities, MS Office, Windows O/S, and MRP/ERP systems.

Experience and Skills Needed:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to efficiently manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and use independent judgement.
  • Displays personal and business integrity.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or evenings.
  • 2+ years purchasing experience with a thorough knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
